I grew up by the forest
It was where we always used to play
We picked blueberries and mushrooms
Swam in the lake, and sat around the fire
And sometimes I would walk into the forest at night
Just to feel its darkness

For this exhibition, Norwegian artist Eigil Nordstrøm presents a new site specific installation. A timber structure is dressed in fabric and painted with a roller, creating a visceral transformation. Prosaic materials are pulled up into the illusory world of painting, bridging the gap between the concrete and the imaginary, the everyday and the spiritual.
