Hidden Gardens in Full Sight

The interconnected abundance of plant life within the urban environment has been a motivational subject in my practice for many years. Hidden Gardens in Full Sight focuses particularly on the Leytonstone locality. This diverse tapestry—rich in shapes, textures, forms, and patterns—is, perhaps, frequently disregarded, though it warrants greater attention and appreciation. Each plant has been deliberately selected and documented through firsthand observation. The focused examination of the visual qualities of the flora and the time invested in the construction of each composition formed an essential, cathartic component of the creative process.
