The Stone Space Gallery presents Sūi Jūris, the first London solo show from the multi-disciplinary artist Sejal Parekh. Bringing together a number of works from the artist’s ongoing exploration of the notion of home as a conceptual idea(l), the exhibition gives visceral insight into cross-cultural social dynamics and identity, through the lens of cultural memory. By incorporating distinct yet ordinary objects and references the artist seeks reveals the nuanced conditions of plurality, nostalgic sentiments and belonging. Sejal (she/her) divides her practice between London and Barcelona, and has shown at SWAB International Art Fair, MACBA, Hoxton Gallery and Tangent Projects.
