This Earth Holds Our Stories

Lydia Halcrow

11th April – 5th May 2024

Every thing becomes something. The paths that led us here criss-cross with remnants of past human activities. Abandoned things mark out other lives and our many human imprints on the land.

Lydia’s work explores these traces, foraging discarded debris and making experimental devices to hold records of many walks in places, the abandoned structures and things encountered along the way. The work holds a sense of repetition to form alternative earthy, scratchy, material and textural maps of places explored slowly on foot.
