#landscape

Duncan Pickstock & Emma Turpin

3 – 27 July 25

Though the paintings of the two artists are very different, they both use the landscape as a starting point in their work; the forms of hills, trees, the sky, the sea and the place where they meet are easy to see. However, these aren’t paintings of any particular place and so are not representative in that sense. Rather the visual language of landscape painting is used by both artists to investigate what it is to be a human in the natural world and to try and represent this.

Private View: Friday 4th July 18:30 – 20:30

This exhibition will be part of the Leytonstone Arts Trail.

Meet the artists during the trail:

Saturday 12th July 2025 13:00 – 16:00
