The call for proposals for exhibitions in 2026/2027 has now closed.

Please note that any proposals sent after the deadline will not be considered.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal. Our team of volunteer organisers will work through them and be in contact to confirm the outcome of the applications in due course.

Exhibition selection process and criteria

The Stone Space welcomes exhibition proposals from individual artists or those wishing to exhibit as a group.

The programme is planned 6-12 months in advance and periodically we will publish an invitation to submit for a particular time period, with details of when successful applicants will be notified.

Submissions are reviewed by a panel drawn from the volunteer organising group who assess each proposal, giving consideration to a variety of factors including but not limited to the following:

·         level of artistic enquiry

·         level of technical skill and ability

·         suitability to the available exhibition space

·         evidence of the applicants experience and ability to deliver the project as proposed

·         fit alongside other programmed exhibitions

Not all proposals will be accepted but unsuccessful applicants are welcome to resubmit.

Please see our instagram account for details of recent exhibitions.
